Winter Session: Starts Jan 9, 2025

How It Works

Each session runs just like our community bouldering comps; climbs are peer-judged and scores are recorded on a scorecard. Each session lasts from Thursday at 5pm till Friday at close. That gives you and your team plenty of time to rack up points!

Bouldering League will run for 4 weeks:

  • Week #1 January 9
  • Week #2 January 16
  • Week #3 January 23
  • Week #4 January 30

Teams
League is a team challenge, so find 3 friends and come up with a team name! Substitutes will be allowed in the case of an absent team member.

Need a team? We’ve got you covered. Ask at the front desk to be added to the waitlist and we’ll do our best to connect you with others looking to join a team.

Scoring
How do the points work? Great question! We will use a points system that is based on your current climbing ability.

If you typically climb V3, for example, you get 20 points for any new V3 you complete during the session. One grade higher than your category gets you 25 points, and two grades higher gets you 30! Climbing below your category gets you points too: 15 points for one grade below and 10 points for two grades below. And if you climb 3 grades above your category? You will earn 35 points, but only twice in the month.

The goal here is difficulty, not endurance, so you will earn points only for your three hardest boulders per session. Your team score will be the total combined points earned by your team per session. Your final score for the season will be the sum of your weekly scores.

Schedule & Registration

Every Thursday our route setting team will set new boulders. The new boulders will open at 5pm. You and your team have Thursday evening and all of Friday to send as many of the new boulders as you can.

However, you won’t be limited to only the new set forever! After week 1, you can earn points for climbing any boulder set in during the 4 weeks - don’t worry, we will mark them!
