Climb Tieton
The long-awaited guidebook, Climb Tieton, is now available in High Steppe’s Retail Shop. Stop in and grab a copy! The guidebook was written by Andy Fitz, Jacob Belsher, and Walter Jordan. It was published by The Yakima Climbing Scene and will retail for $40. All net proceeds from the sale of the guide will go toward supporting stewardship of the Tieton River crags.
About Climb Tieton: It’s been 20 years since the last comprehensive Tieton guidebook was published. A lot has changed in the last two decades, including major new crags and nearly double the number of routes. The new guide has detailed directions, maps, and beta for nearly 700 routes. For climbers looking to explore the wild beauty of this unique region of central Washington, this book is essential equipment.
About the Authors: Andy Fitz, Jacob Belsher, and Walter Jordan are all products of the Yakima Valley. Between them, they have established more than 300 new climbing routes in the Tieton, have more than 73 years climbing experience spanning the globe, and have expertise in navigating all aspects of rock climbing from legal access issues, to trail building, to anchor replacement.
